Halloween

On Thursday, we got the chance to partake in the annual Halloween festivities in our cul-de-sac. The neighbors on our street put up tables and chairs in the middle of the cul-de-sac and we all brought lots of food to enjoy. We put up a big table in the front and everyone put their Halloween candy on it so that trick-or-treaters could just walk up to the table and get their treats (with some monitoring of course) instead of going door-to-door. There was a lot of great food and we all had a great time. Josh brought our fire pit out so we all got to enjoy a nice, cozy fire and, since we were right next to our house, we were able to put Andrew down to bed at his normal time and still go right out our door to enjoy the festivities. Jake had lots of fun seeing all the neighbor kids all dressed up and running around in his own monkey costume.

Jake with his little ghost buddy--it's a decoration but doesn't it look like a little kid dressed as a ghost?!
