Summer Finale

This past weekend, we took the family down to Branson, MO to visit Papa Dennis and Nana Debbie. We had an AWESOME time! Good food, good times and great company! Sad to say, we have not been down to see them in a year and a half - unacceptable. Anyhow, we made it this weekend and had a blast. Some highlights:

  1. Josh getting pulled over by Missouri State Troopers (yes, troopers - two in one car) only to get out of a ticket because of my "beautiful family" - PRICELESS
  2. Taking Jacob and Andrew to the MO Dept. of Nat'l Resources Trout Hatchery at the bottom of Table Rock Dam - 2 million plus fish are raised and released from here each year. Jake LOVED feeding all the fish
  3. Watching the Illini vs. Mizzou football game - okay, NOT a highlight, but the food was great
  4. Going to the Butterfly House in Branson - It was soooooooo cool! I highly recommend visiting one if you haven't already. Jacob was absolutely fascinated with "butterfies" - see my pics below, we got some great ones
  5. Taking Jacob to the Build-A-Bear workshop. Jacob "built" Mr. Monkey - he is a fishing monkey (waders, vest, pole - the whole nine yards). Andrew got a Jr. Bugs bear too
  6. Going to the Bass Pro Shop at the new Branson Landing - Jacob got to see more fish, got a pop gun, played around on the ATVs and boats
  7. Watching Jacob in the Toddler Bounce House at the Branson Landing
  8. Nana Debbie's cooking - unbelievable, I bet I gained 10 pounds
  9. Watching Jacob and Andrew with Nana and Papa - we dont' get to see them all that much, but you would have thought that Jacob knew both of them from day one! Jacob was super polite and Andrew was just perfect

Anyhow, we had a blast and want to thank Nana Debbie and Papa Dennis for a super time. We love you both!

See pictures below from the weekend!
