Although it was an extremely busy Easter weekend, Jacob and Andrew enjoyed every minute of it. We started off Saturday afternoon with an easter egg hunt at Momo and Papa's house and then headed to Uncle Ryan and Aunt Christy's house for yet a second egg hunt. By the end of the day, Jake (and even Andrew) had gotten pretty good at hunting eggs. We woke on Easter morning to find that the easter bunny had left lots of good stuff for Jake and Andrew--Jake was so excited by every little thing in his basket--he even exclaimed that the Toy Story flashlight the Easter bunny left him was "the greatest light ever." After allowing Jake to feast on a breakfast of chocolate and jelly beans (you can do that on a holiday, right?), we headed back to Momo and Papa's house to enjoy an Easter lunch. Then, after enjoying a few hours with family there, we jumped back into the family truckster and traveled to Mimi and Papa's house to enjoy Easter dessert and a small indoor egg hunt for the kids.
Here's a quick video recap of our busy Easter weekend. Great-grandma Connie got Jake hooked on the song "Peter Cottontail" the week before Easter so I thought it only appropriate to use it as the background song. Enjoy!
