A Great Fall Sunday!

Today we were able to enjoy a nice, relaxing Sunday and get a few things done at the same time. It was such a beautiful day so we decided to put out our fall/Halloween decor. We went to Market Basket and got mums, pumpkins (of all sorts, thanks to Jake), cornstalks, etc. If anyone saw us driving home--yes, it was us with the cornstalks strapped to the top of the car!! (At least we got everything home in one piece.

While Josh mowed the lawn, Jake, Andrew and I arranged the pumpkins and put up the cornstalks and scarecrow. Andrew actually just enjoyed the day in his swing but Jake was a big help cleaning off the pumpkins!

Jake also had a great afternoon playing with the neighborhood kids. His older buddy, Ethan, came over and Jake got to show him all of the little pumpkins that he got. Then, some of the older girls pushed Jake and Ethan around in the wagon. However, Jake got the biggest kick out of the homemade trampoline. To explain, since tomorrow is big trash day in our subdivision, our neighbors, Tracy and Don, had an old twin mattress out by the curb. Mr. Don (as Jake calls him) gave Jake and Ethan the idea to use the mattress as a trampoline so we pull it into the grass and they went to town. Jake had a blast!! All-in-all, we had a great Sunday!!
